
Amanda Atkinson, MA, RD, CD
Registered Dietitian
Amanda is a Registered and Certified dietitian who earned her Bachelors degree in Dietetics and her Masters degree in Nutrition from Ball State. She began her career providing nutritional counseling for and managing the therapeutic diets of women dealing with eating disorders at an inpatient eating disorder center. As an outpatient provider, she specializes in a Health at Every Size Approach for general physical health concerns as well as medical issues including eating disorders in men, women and adolescents.
Amanda provides nutritional counseling for anyone that wants to improve their overall physical health and for Center for Hope’s specialized eating disorder treatment team. She works closely with physicians and therapists and utilizes an approach to nutrition counseling that includes eating for physical rather than emotional reasons and relying on internal hunger and satiety cues with unconditional permission to eat.
