Dawn has been treating children, adolescents and their families for over 20 years. Her experience includes treating issues related to depression, anxiety, anger management, eating disorders, school issues, gender and sexuality issues, trauma and parenting support. Dawn’s expertise has been supported by in-depth training in play therapy for children and trauma recover. Dawn is a Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor, a Certified EMDR Practitioner, Trained in Brainspotting as well as an Advanced trainer in the Nurtured Heart Approach. Dawn’s early experience as a school social worker has complimented her years in private practice to be able to advocate and collaborate for a child’s best interest. Dawn has an expansive client base that includes children ages 3 through college age.

Cara began her career treating Eating Disorders in a residential treatment setting and joined the team at Center for Hope and Family Solutions in 2014. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Certified Eating Disorder Specialist-Supervisor, she works from a Health At Every Size® perspective to provide a safe and comfortable environment that is rooted in an anti-diet and weight-inclusive approach. Cara aims to assist individuals in exploring aspects of society that have negatively impacted their relationship with food, body, activity, and self. Her practice encompasses adolescents and adults struggling within the full spectrum of Eating Disorders, disordered eating, and body image disturbances. Cara believes in a team collaboration approach in the treatment of Eating Disorders and works alongside many other professionals to support each individual in their journey of recovery. As a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist-Supervisor, Cara leads the treatment team at Center for Hope for adolescents and adults experiencing an eating disorder.

Amanda has been an outpatient clinician on Center for Hope and Family Solutions’ Eating Disorder team since 2014. However, she has spent her entire career since 2011, treating people struggling with eating disorders which included experience working in a residential eating disorder treatment center. This experience prepared her to work closely with families, physicians, therapists and other treatment team practitioners to provide fully informed care for her clients. Amanda is a Health at Every Size® clinician focusing on eating disorder recovery, principles of intuitive eating, intuitive movement and weight-inclusive medical nutrition therapy. Amanda provides individualized care for adults and adolescents who have been stuck in patterns of chronic dieting and wanting to stop the dieting cycle, who are experiencing any signs and symptoms of dysfunctional eating or who have been diagnosed with an eating disorder. Being a certified personal trainer, Amanda can assist clients in repairing compulsive, obsessive, avoidant or punishing relationships with movement.

Christine’s unique gifts in treating children set her apart from the typical therapist. Christine spends her days doing therapy with children, adolescents, and their families working on issues related to anxiety, depression, impulse control, anger management, trauma, and parenting support. Her extensive training includes expertise in play therapy for children, EMDR for trauma, school challenges, and The Nurtured Heart Approach for assisting parents and teachers with growing emotional regulation in children. She creates a safe, non-judgmental space for her clients and is gentle, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic about nurturing growth in children.

Cathy comes to private practice with an array of experience in mental health therapy for children, adolescents and adults including issues related to depression, anxiety, anger management as well as school and parenting issues. Cathy’s career experience has been practicing social work and counseling in area schools and working in private practice. Her passion for serving children and supporting families through the emotional challenges of life can be felt within minutes of meeting her. Cathy is known in the community for the work she does with not only individuals, but the families as well. Her long term school experience has allowed her to be comfortable with school collaboration as well as communicating and supporting parents through their child’s therapy.

Allanna has been working with individuals across the age span for over 10 years providing Medical Nutrition Therapy for most medical conditions that are impacted by nutrition. Her passion lies in helping individuals better understand these conditions and live a fulfilled life. She has spent much of her time in recent years helping those living with diabetes and/or with eating disorders. She strives to help them better understand how to live well and thrive. Allanna is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist who utilizes an intuitive eating approach and recognizes the Health at Every Size model. She has worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings throughout her career to help bridge the gap from diagnosis to long term management. She works with individuals of all ages.

Jordan has dedicated her career to treating individuals struggling with eating disorders. She started out at the inpatient and residential level of care, and has transitioned to outpatient through Center for Hope and Family Solutions. Through her experience, she has worked closely with clinicians of other disciplines to provide the best evidence-based care for her clients. Working with a multidisciplinary team, including therapists, dietitians, and physicians, provides a well-rounded approach to treatment of the multifactorial presentation of eating disorders. Jordan utilizes the Health at Every Size® model in her approach to eating disorder recovery, as well as principles of Intuitive Eating. Jordan has experience providing individualized care in treating people with all types of eating disorders and disordered eating patterns.

Amanda compliments our family and children team with 15 years of experience that includes both young children, adolescents and caregiver support. Her expertise includes treating issues related to anxiety, depression, anger management, school issues, impulse control, trauma and parenting support. Amanda has spent several years achieving her Registered Play Therapist credential. This unique skill set supports Center for Hope’s mission to allow children to heal through their natural language. As a Registered Play Therapist trained in trauma competencies, Amanda is also trained in Brainspotting. Her early experience working with children in a residential treatment facility has provided knowledge about mental health, intellectual disabilities and trauma competent care. Amanda is committed to advocating and providing support for her clients, while working towards the child’s best interest. Amanda primarily works with children and adolescents, ages 3 through age eighteen. She believes in a systemic model to treatment and understands caregivers are a part of the treatment team, thus need support and guidance as they are included in the treatment process.
